The Scottish terrier is also known as the Aberdeen Terrier and of course best known as the Scottie. One of the Highland breeds of terrier that were grouped under the name Skye terrier. Five breeds of terrier originated in Scotland, the Scottish terrier, West Highland white terrier, Dandie Dinmont, Cairn and the Skye. An independent and rugged breed with a wiry outer coat and a soft dense under coat. The modern Scottie can be traced back to a single female named Splinter II. They are described as a feisty and territorial dog; they make good watchdogs and tend to be very loyal.
Our Celtic house plaque comes in different sizes and is made from Irish limestone quarried from Co. Kilkenny. Irish limestone is millions of years old and is known for its durability. Limestone is a sedimentary rock comprised of mineral calcite. The calcite in Irish limestone is most commonly marine organisms. Irish limestone usually has the fossilised shells of the organisms visibly embedded within the stone making this house plaque unique and an interesting addition to your home or an interesting and unusual present for a loved one. All our limestone is supplied by God and nature and worked by man.
